Reiver Country Farm Foods was
established in 2000 bringing together the Marshall and Pate families
who have been farming in the Scottish Borders since the early 1900's.

Adam Marshall is the fourth generation of his
family to farm at Slighouses in the Borders. The pig herd was established
in 1954 by his father and uncle from the original herd. Slighouses
also produces its own grain which is milled and fed to the pigs,
making the farm self sufficient in feed, allowing 100% trace ability
and ensuring excellence of their product.
Similarly the Pate family farms at Redpath and
Horseupcleugh in the Lammermuir Hills have passed down generations
and now extends to over 4'000 acres of heather and moor land supporting
a 150 herd of Simmental cows and 300 breeding Blackface and Greyface
ewes.
Together as Reiver Country Farm Foods, Adam and
Sandy have a wealth of experience in breeding and producing livestock
and as a result they are able to guarantee the finest quality at
value for money prices in the farm shop.
